Orbit Hop is a one-touch arcade game for iPhone. You circle a planet; tapping
releases you along the tangent, and you fly straight until the next planet's
gravity catches you. That is the whole control scheme — everything else is a
decision about when.
How to play
Tap anywhere
Releases you from your current orbit. There is no other input.
Pass close for a PERFECT
Any capture keeps you alive, but a flight line that passes close to the
planet scores a PERFECT and starts a combo. Chained perfects are worth far
more than survival alone.
Time the red moons
Moons ride rings outside your orbit, so they can never hit you while you
circle. They sweep the space you have to cross on the way out — wait for
the gap.
Shards are optional
The glowing shards sit off the safe line between planets. Taking one means
committing to a tighter route.
Questions
How do I reset my high score?
Your best score is stored only on your device. Deleting and reinstalling the
app clears it.
Is there any way to lose progress?
There is no progress to lose beyond the high score — no levels, unlocks or
accounts. Every run starts fresh.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The game is fully offline and makes no network requests at all.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
None, and none are planned.
The sound isn't playing.
Check that your ringer switch isn't set to silent, then close and reopen the
app. Audio starts on your first tap.
I found a bug, or the game feels unfair.
Please get in touch — include your device model and iOS version, and what
was happening on screen. Reports about specific planets or moon patterns
feeling impossible are especially useful.
